A few weeks back, I shared with a mad picture of this cupboard beneath our stairs onto Instagram (you may take a look at my feed, here). It was a hot mess and that I had an entire section of this shelf specializing in candles. A good deal of the candles were burned out and that I was only holding on themsubconsciously searching for a means to repurpose them. I like to repurpose candle jars since they’re just like free glass containers Searching for another method to become used.
How To Repurpose Candle Jars
I mean brown-leaf-patterned plastic type of dreadful. That having been said, I chose to create these small organizers for my grandma’s magnificent master bath. Her toilet has a brownish and tealish-blue motif with beautiful crystal accents and that I wished to decorate those jars to coincide.
This is exactly what you want to bling an old candle jar…
- Goo Gone
- Knobs (I used them )
- Candle Jar
- Spray paint
- Primer (in case you did not use a paint Which Has a primer in it)
- Glue (E6000 adhesive )
Step By Step
My previous way of cleaning candle jars out took me FOREVER. Now I stuck with a flat head screw driver to the wax and then popped the wax straight from the jar.
After about 10 minutes, then I sprayed the lids together with paint.
Even though the paint dried from the garage, I went indoors to wash the wax out residue out of the jars. I just sprayed a few of the gel on the surface, swirled it around from the jar, and then wiped it out using a paper towel.
Later I washed the whole jar with water and soap and utilized more Goo Gone to remove the glue from the tag.
While the jars dried, I generated and cut these adorable labels in my Silhouette Cameo.
